At my school, the high school ends the semester with finals and takes a break from the regular schedule of school by doing courses during intersession — the week in between semesters. As I was deciding, I was looking at a few different courses (mainly the cheaper ones), and I felt God calling me to Purposeful Acts of Kindness (PAK) by Mr. D. I ended up to be one of the three freshmen to sign up for this Intersession course. After starting Intersession week, I could see why God called me to PAK.
This week, God has given me several opportunities to practice my faith in Him. However, He allowed me to go through surprises that I was not expecting. On Tuesday, while I was on BART, a man entered the train asking for a cigarette from all in the area. When I told him that Jesus loves him, he started mocking and cursing the Word of God.
By doing cursing the Word of God, he challenged my faith, but I prayed to the Lord, and He handeled the situation. When my faith was challenged, I had to pray and rely on the Lord. This was the first time I had seen anyone react to the name of Jesus like that before. In the end, I was glad that we could hug it out and get each other’s names before we took our final departing.
Today I encourage you to bless people in the name of the Lord to show your faith and glorify He Who deserves all praise. If anyone mocks you, I encourage you to give Scriptures to defend the Word with wisdom but also pray. I encourage you to live a life for the glory of the Lord.
As Christians, we must rely on the Lord to stand strong; we are otherwise doomed to fail. I encourage you remember that as you stand up for your faith in Jesus Christ our Lord.
PARA LA GLORIA DEL SEÑOR,
