Is it all ready one fourth of 2018? The answer is yes. Yes, it is all ready one fourth of the year 2018. So much has happened, but what exactly has occurred in these past three months. Well, I would like to share a few personal events that I have experienced in which the Holy Spirit has been in midst.
Earlier this year, God revealed to me that this year is the year of reliance on God, and this makes perfect sense because we cannot attain victory without relying on Him. In essence, we are doomed to fail unless we put our hope in Jesus. We must pray and read the Word in order to know Who God is and grow in a necessary relationship with Him. When we pray to the Lord, the Holy Spirit will also give us the supernatural strength to do what we cannot on our own.
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:14
First of all, a few weeks into the year I had come into a conflict because of my own foolishness, and while I was in class, praying to God resulted in the Holy Spirit giving me the strength to confront the situation and save a friendship. Secondly, as you probably have heard, I broke my arm while fastly walking through the halls at school, but after multiple people prayed for and/or with me, the Lord healed my arm part of the way so that I could fully extend my arm, type, play the clarinet, and take showers normally. Thirdly, my nonno has recently been delivered from bladder cancer. However, on Sunday, my nonno was feeling pain, and I laid my hand on him and prayed for him in the name of Jesus, and after going to the doctor, he has continued to have no signs of cancer and a relief from the pains.
Recall each of these three moments. Just ponder them for a few seconds. What was the most important part of each event that caused the supernatural healings and boldness? Was it praying hard and long until my eyelids were as sore as could be? Was it praying an entertaining prayer? Answering all these questions, no, none of these miraculous works of God were made possible through entertainment or “trying hard.” The key factors are prayer and reliance on the Lord. For example, when I pray for something like a healing, I bring my request to God and pray with authority in the name of Jesus and rebuke the devil because whatever shall be bound on earth shall be bound in heaven and vice versa. Since the Holy Spirit lives inside the believers, one can rely on Him to gain victory over the evils of this world. If you are a Christian, you have the Holy Spirit Who does the works of God on which the apostles relied. However, you must believe and pray with authority over the devil and the imperfections of this world.
“And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 16:19
Today and forevermore, I encourage you to rely on the Lord through every situation, whether tough or easy. If you come across a point in time when it is impossible for you to carry out the necessary tasks of life, or if one needs healing (physically or spiritually), pray in the name of the Lord and rebuke the devil, and God guarantees that if your heart is right with Him, He will answer your prayer, not necessarily how you might want Him to do so, but He will give you the guidance and the strength you need. If you are not saved, I encourage you except Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior so that you can rely on Him and overcome every obstacle that the devil has set in front of you. In conclusion, for all times in life, pray to Him and see what He does in your life.
Have a great day, and God bless you!
PARA LA GLORIA DEL SEÑOR,
