Just One Drop

Just One Drop

Happy Easter! Today is the most important day for spiritual redemption in all of humanity! Everyone gets so hyped about Christmas (often for the wrong reasons), but today is the celebration of a new type of birth that was prophesied from before Jesus’ birth. Today is the day that we celebrate Jesus’ resurrection when He trampled sin and gave us His righteousness. Throughout the entire time of Good Friday and the preceding night, Jesus endured because of His love. In the end, He shed all His blood, but if only one drop had fallen in His beatings and death for us, we would have all been saved. All we needed was “Just One Drop[1].”

One of my favorite songs from my church is “Just One Drop.” Throughout the lyrics, the power of God’s love and sacrifice displays itself clearly. “[Jesus] suffered through Calvary. On the cross He won our victory.” This could not be truer. Two thousand years ago, Jesus took upon Himself our disgusting, depraved wickedness and died carrying it! During His pain and torture, Jesus sinned not once, becoming the sacrificial Lamb that would cleanse from our sins forever versus the earthly cattle or sheep sacrifice that only covered the sins of one man for one time. Jesus truly won our way to victory.

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:4-5 KJV

When the priest of Israel would shed the blood of a lamb, he would pour out all the blood. As a result, we represent sacrifice with the shedding of blood. With Jesus’ death, the sacrifice was necessary that He be “beaten and wounded for our transgressions.” If only one drop of blood fell from his fingertips, we would have still gained deliverance! Imagine that! If Jesus’ blood could save us from with only drop, then surely by Jesus’ blood we could also attain His grace, which empowers us to live holy! “Just one drop reversed the fall… [and brought] salvation for us all.”

For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. Hebrews 9:13-15 KJV

“Just one drop of His redeeming blood

“Just one drop of His cleansing blood

“Just one drop for all our sakes

“Just one drop is all it takes”

“Just one drop in that dreadful hour…, of His cleansing power…, reversed the fall, [and] salvation for us all.” I’m finishing this blog post here on Good Friday, and we can see that it was a dreadful hour of death, but through Jesus’ death in that evil atmosphere, “He won our victory” over sin.

He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it. Isaiah 25:8

So now the gift is yours if you choose to accept it. With God’s grace, you can live free from your sins. Now it’s time for you to give your sin to Jesus because He paid the price for it so that we can be with Him. God doesn’t want you to spend all of eternity in Hell. All you have to do is believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and you will be saved. As you live life, your belief will be shown by the fruit in your life, and you will become more like Jesus as you change your ways. As a Christian, you can trust that God will forgive you if you admit your sin to Him and repent.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. Romans 10:9-11

About two thousand years ago, Jesus died for our sins and rose again so that we could be free from our sins, and I invite you to accept His gift of grace and salvation. When you trust in Him, He will deliver you from your transgressions. You only need to confess your sins and believe in your heart. God loves you so much that desires to be with you, and you can’t spend eternity with Him if you are not His follower. To everything together, set aside your sin and put your life into His hands because He paid for it with His blood, and He only needed “Just One Drop” to do it.

Happy Easter!

I grew up in a Christian home, but I never really came to know the Lord until I was twelve years old. As I’ve matured, the Lord has sanctified me in Him by His grace, allowing me to better glorify and honor Him. In middle and high school, I discovered my interest in essays and informational writing. As a Christian, I took my love for God and my love writing and squeezed them together into blog posts on my blog, which has turned into what is now the Truth and Love Ministries (TLM) Blog. When I was assigned to create a YouTube video for my Old Testament final in high school, I learned about my revived love for creating YouTube content. The next summer, the videos and the blog posts would turn my YouTube channel into an extension of the blog and TLM. Since then, I have continued to grow in the Lord and His Word, and as a student at The Master’s University, I am continually learning in my Bible classes about the greatness, deepness, and perfection of God Word. I hope to one day use the bachelors in Marketing Media that I am pursuing to share the the profoundness of God’s special revelation to His people.
